It was an awfully cold and silent night in the park while two girls were sitting on a chair. The silence was broke by one of the girls.
-“Hi”- She said – “My name is Luna…”
- “Hi”- She shyly answered – “I’m Valentine“
-“What are you doing around here at this time?” - Luna asked with curiosity
-“Maybe the same as you”- Valentine answered looking at the ground
-“Hum….” Luna whisper – “You can tell me…..I know how to keep secrets….”
-“Hum…..if you must know….I….ran away from home”- She said looking directly to Luna’s eyes that remind her of two beautiful emeralds
-“Are you serious?”- Luna asked admired
-“….Yes”- Valentine said
-“But why did you?”- Luna asked still very admired
-“I ran because everyone hates me because of what I am…”
-“That can’t be true”- Luna quickly said -“You can’t be hated be EVERYONE……I bet that your parents love you”- Luna said with a smile
-“No…not even them”- Valentine said sadly -“They tried to murder me many times”- A little tear run down her tan face
-“Wow….I can’t believe it”- Luna said at total shock –“Do you at least have a place to stay?”
-“……no, but I’m going to stay here at the park”- Valentine said while light of the moon was reflecting on her chestnut hairs
-“No away you’re staying here”- Luna said in a higher tone -“You’re going to stay with me”
-“No…..I don’t want to be bothersome”
-“You’re going with me and that’s final!”
-“…but, but”- Valentine tried to contest
-“No buts… now come with me” Luna said grabbing her hand
-“…..ok….you won….but you’re parents don’t mind this?”- She asked
-“My parents died when I was 4…..I live alone”- She answered
-“Sorry”
-“It’s ok……..by the way….you said that they hate you because of what you are……..what are you?”- Luna while her black hair fell in front of her eyes
-“I can’t say…..at least for now”
-“Ok……”- Luna said -“We’re almost their”
-“Ok”
Luna’s house had 4 bedrooms, a living room, a dining room, a big kitchen and two bathrooms. The decoration was classic and with great lust.
-“Woow! …nice house”- She exclaimed
-“Thanks….”- She said with a big smile -“But I think that it’s too big because I’m the only one here”
-“I see….do you feel lonely?”- She asked
-“Sometimes…….but I arrange things to amuse myself and now I am going to have your company”- Luna said smiling
-“Yeah…”- Valentine said smiling as well -“but I don’t want to be bothersome”
-“I’m sure that you won’t be…….”- Luna said –“how old are you?”
-“14…..and you?”
-“13….we’re almost the same age”- Luna said
-“Do you have a dog?” She asked
-“No….why?”- Luna asked
-“Because there’s dog hair in the whole house…”
-“I….I….don’t know why….”- Luna said with a worried expression
-“Hum……ok….”- She said
And the two girls stayed the rest of the night talking, but Valentine didn’t manage to take away of her mind the thought that the Luna had a secret as well…
